December 2024 Commercial Lines Newsletter
Happy December!
The holidays are here, bringing festive cheer and a busy season for all. As the year wraps up, it’s a great time to reflect on accomplishments, spend time with loved ones, and prepare for what’s ahead in 2025 and beyond.
Our office closures during the holidays will be as follows:
Tuesday December 24th – 9am – 3pm (Early Closure)
Wednesday, December 25th – CLOSED for Christmas
Wednesday, January 1st – CLOSED for New Year’s Day
Please note that for the week of Christmas, we will be letting half of our team have off Monday and Tuesday before Christmas and the other half will have off Thursday and Friday after Christmas.
We will still be open for business, but running at half staffed for the week so our team can spend quality time with their families during the holidays, while still being here to serve your needs should you need us during the holiday week.
We’ve put together some tips and reminders to help you make the most of this special time of year.

Winter-Proof Your Business: Insurance Tips for the Cold Months
- Inspect and Maintain Your Property: Ensure your roof, gutters, and HVAC systems are in good condition to handle snow and ice. Address any leaks or structural issues.
- Winterize Vacant Properties: If you have a vacant property, make sure to maintain the heat and/or drain the pipes to prevent freezing. Here is a blog on the topic: Winterizing Vacant Properties
- Prevent Slips and Falls: Keep walkways, parking lots, and entryways clear of snow and ice. Use de-icing products and post warning signs for slippery areas.
- Prepare for Power Outages: Invest in backup generators and ensure your critical systems can operate during outages to avoid business interruptions.
- Protect Against Frozen Pipes: Insulate pipes in unheated areas and let faucets drip during extreme cold to prevent freezing and bursting.
- Review Your Insurance Coverage: Confirm your policy covers winter-related risks like property damage, liability, and business interruption to stay protected.
Employee Appreciation During the Holidays
Your team is the backbone of your business, and the holidays are the perfect time to let them know how much they’re valued. Even small gestures can leave a big impact!
– Write personalized notes thanking each team member for their hard work.
– Host a holiday lunch or party to celebrate your wins together.
– Offer small, thoughtful gifts like gift cards, care packages, or extra time off to recharge.
– Celebrate their contributions publicly through a company-wide email or social media shoutout.
By showing your appreciation, you’re not only spreading cheer but also strengthening morale and team spirit as you head into the new year.
